The purpose of the Emergency Remote Teaching (ERT) study is to gather the experiences and perceptions of higher education faculty on emergency remote teaching during COVID-19 from Spring 2020 to Spring 2021. Findings from the study will help to improve policies, programs, and services related to the transition to ERT. There are no physical or economic risks with this study. Participants should allow approximately twenty to thirty minutes to complete the questionnaire. Once you begin the questionnaire, please be prepared to complete the entire document. You will not be able to save and return. We value your insights on emergency remote teaching and we encourage you to share your experience.
Faculty insights will provide evidence to state officers and institutional administrators the justification for additional funding and equitable allocation of state resources, decision-making strategies in choosing a technology platform and features that offer ease of use and flexibility to both faculty and students; and the continued support for professional development and trainings for faculty in distance learning. More importantly, strategic approaches that are helpful in preparing for future pandemics that impact Maryland's public institutions.

If you want to participate in an interview indicate that option on the questionnaire and you will receive a confirmation. You will then complete, scan, and upload the audio/video consent form after receiving your interview confirmation.
